Mrs. Arabella Brown, 101, died Friday, Oct. 25, 1957, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Marcus A. Coon, Califon with whom she had resided for the past five years. She had lived in Matawan for many years.
Mrs. Brown was born in Keyport, daughter of the last Richard and Mary (Walling) Carhart, and was the widow of J. Perrin Brown. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Matawan.
Surviving are two other sisters, Mrs. David J. Walsh, also of Califon; Mrs. John I. Snyder, New Rochelle, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Bedle Funeral Home, Matawan, with the Rev. Richard Young officiating. Burial in ?? Hill Cemetery, Matawan.
