Activities: came to Tombstone, Ariz., 1880, and operated the Old Knoxville mine for two yrs.; invested in land near Tombstone and acquired thousands of acres of land in Old Mexico and is the owner of 600 acres land near Tempe, Ariz., stocked with reg. Hereford cattle; organizer and dir. Bank of Bisbee, Bisbee, Ariz., 1906; in partnership with T. E. Pollock, of Flagstaff, bought the First Natl. Bank of Douglas, Douglas, Ariz. and has since been its president; dir. of Valley Bank in Phoenix; served in State Legislature when Coll. at Tucson was established. Organizer (and for 5 years director) of Ariz. State Fair Ass'n.; and one time partner of Colonel Green (famous one time Copper King) in owning largest herd of cattle in U. S. Affl.: F and A.M.; Landmark Chapt. 6, R. A.M.; Phoenix Commandery No. S, K.T.; Arizona Consistory No. 1, A.A.S.R., Tucson; El Zaribah Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S., at Phoenix, and B.P.O.E. at Douglas; mem.
