Joseph H. Carhart of Navesink Was in His 73d Year.
Joseph H. Carhart of Navesink died of pneumonia last Wednesday after a sickness of two weeks. He was 72 years old and had spent most of his life at Navesink. He leaves a widow, Eugenia Carhart, and two sons, Leroy Carhart of Atlantic Highlands and Herman Carhart of Orange. He was a member of the Odd Fellows' lodge and an exempt member of the Navesink fire company. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the Central Baptist church at Atlantic Highlands and was in charge of Rev. Ralph Carr. Burial was made at Bay View cemetery.

Mrs. Eugenia Carhart, 81, widow of Joseph Carhart, died November 1 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Gregory of Navesink.
A resident of Navesink more than half a century, Mrs. Carhart had been in failing health for a long time. Funeral services were conducted November 4 at the residence by Rev. Charles P. Johnson rector of All Saints church, and interment under supervision of A. M. Posten and Sons took place in Bay View cemetery.
