George Carhart's }
Will } In the name of God Amen. I George Carhart of the Township of Middletown, County of Monmouth and State of New Jersey, being of sound mind memory and understanding for which blessing I thank God, do make this my last Will and Testament, in manner following, that is to say:
First: It is my will, and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expenses be duly paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently can be after my decease.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Carhart, the use of all my Estate of every kind and description during her natural life, after paying my just debts, funeral expenses and expenses of settling my Estate.
Item: On the death of my beloved wie Mary, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Louisa Morford all my household and kitchen furniture, and Three Thousand dollars to be paid to her by my Executors.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Charles Carhart son of Richard Carhart Fifty dollars to be paid to him at the decease of my beloved wife.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Emily Carhart, daughter of Richard Carhart Fifty dollars to be paid to her at the death of my beloved wife.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my children Isaac Carhart, John Carhart, Joseph Carhart and Mary Aitken all the balance and residue of my Estates share and share alike.
Lastly: I hereby appoint my son Isaac Carhart and son-in-law Chas Morford Executors of this my last Will and Testament. Dated November 11th, 1872.
