Belford - Lloyd Carhart, 74, of 491 Fox Ave., died Thursday at Riverview Hospital, Red Bank.
He was born in Port Monmouth and was a lifelong resident of Middletown.
Mr. Carhart had been employed by the Middletown Township Road Department until his retirement four years ago.
He was a charter and exempt member of the Port Monmouth Fire Company and a member of the United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Muriel McDonald Carhart, and a sister, Aleta Hartner of Long Branch.
