GEORGE W. CARHART
WEST LONG BRANCH -- George W. Carhart, 67, of 12 Slocum Street, died yesterday in Monmouth Memorial Hospital, Long Branch. He was born here, and was the son of the late David and Martha Niles Carhart. He had lived in this area all his life. Mr. Carhart was general utility foreman for Jersey Central Power and Light Company for 34 years, and was retired. He was a member of the Atlantic Engine and Trust Company, Long Branch, and a volunteer truck driver of the company. He was also a member of the Long Branch Fire Police.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jennie C. Tobiasen Carhart; two sons, Frank G., Eatontown; Robert L., at home; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Burkett, Cliffwood, and three grandsons.
The John W. Flock Funeral Home, Long Branch, is in charge of arrangements.
Jennie died at the age of 73 in Nov 1962 in Long Branch, Monmouth, New Jersey, United States.
