In the name of God, Amen: I, J Augusta C Carhart, of the City of Telluride County of San Miguel and state of Colorado, of the age of fifty years, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and not acting under duress, menace, fraud or undue influence of any person whatever, do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament, in manner following, that is to say:
First: I devise to my devoted sister, Mrs Hulda Swanson, for life, that certain 80 acres of land situated in the County of Page in the state of Iowa, described as follows, to-wit: W 1/2 N W 1/4, Sec. 36. T 70 R 38, consisting of 78 acres -- remainder to my beloved husband Winfield S Carhart.
Second. I direct that my executor hold in trust the sum of $500 and pay the income therefrom to my niece Mrs Minnie Swanson, wife of Henry, during her life, and upon her death said sum to be paid to her baby daughter Anna. Until said child shall arrived at the age of maturity, or until she shall marry, said executor shall continue to hold said principal paying the income annually in the meantime to her. In case of the demise of both said devisees before said principal sum becomes payable, then the same shall revert to my husband aforenamed.
Third: I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved husband, Winfield S Carhart, all the rest of the lands, tenements, real, personal and mixed property, including moneys, bonds, securities and other credits of every kind and character of which I may die seized or possessed, situated in the state of Colorado or elsewhere.
Finally: I nominate and appoint my said husband, Winfield S Carhart the Executor of this my last will and testament, without bonds, to administer my estate as herein directed.

Mrs. Frances Carhart, wife of Winfred Carhart, died of cancer yesterday morning at the home of her son, George Berome, in Monroeville. While she had been suffering with the disease for fifteen months she had been able to be up the day preceding her death, and the end came suddenly.
Mrs. Carhart had returned from Denver, Col., but three weeks ago. She was forty-eight years of age. Much of her early life was spent in Fort Wayne and she was well known here. She was a niece of Mr. C. M. Gillett, of this city.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the chapel in Lindenwood cemetery.
