Mr. Benjamin Carhart, one of the oldest and most respected citizens of Keyport, died suddenly at Asbury Park on Tuesday, of paralysis. The funeral took place at Keyport this Friday.

Benjamin Carhart, of Asbury Park, died at his residence at that place on Tuesday morning of last week, aged 64 years. He was formerly a resident of Keyport and was engaged in the oyster business. He married a daughter of Capt. Peter Metzgar, who survives him.
