Emma Stalling
SCRIBNER -- Services for Emma Stalling, 90, of Scribner, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Hooper. The Rev. John Erlandson will officiate.
Mrs. Stalling died early this morning in the Scribner nursing home.
She was born Sept. 27, 1887, in rural Uehling and lived there until her marriage. The former Emma Stenvers, she married Herman Stalling March 10, 1909.
The Stallings farmed northeast of Scribner in 1941 when they retired and moved into Scribner.
Her husband preceded her in death Jan. 2, 1974. Mrs. Stalling also was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. William (Marcella) Suhr.
Survivors include daughters, Mrs. John (Agnes) Peters of Scribner, Mrs. Arthur (Alice) Miller of Inglewood, Colo., Mrs. Louis (Evelyn) Ellermeier of Scribner and Doris Stalling of Denver; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-9 p.m. at Warne Funeral Home in Hooper and Wednesday at the church from 9:45 a.m. until time of service.
Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
