I am really excited to have time this summer to do as many hikes as I can fit in. I'm starting with those hikes that I can do from my house in Prescott without getting in my car.
The first hike on Saturday, June 4th was a short one but a good one - taking the Banning Creek Trail (#81) and East on the #330 trail over to Senator Highway. Much of the trail is shaded and the trail doesn't get as much use as the Goldwater Trail #396 . The trail is gradually uphill going East and then back down on the return - about 500 feet elevation gain.
Round-trip from my house is about 4 1/2 miles and takes about 90 minutes at an easy pace.
