Red Bank- Funeral services for Thomas Edward Huyler, 81, a resident of Eatontown for 20 years, who died Saturday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs Asenath Higginson, 28 South Street, Red Bank, were held yesterday afternoon at 2 at the Higginson home. Many beautiful floral tributes banked the casket. Rev Clyde Alvin Lynch, pastor of the Second Church of the United Brethren in Christ, of Philadelphia, officiated. Mrs Japhia Clayton of Red Bank, sang "Abide by Me" and "Fade, Fade, Each Earthly Joy"
The pall bearers were Roy and Abram Huyler, Benjamin Morris, Perry Cook, Kelstead and Stanley Carhart. Interment was made at Ocean Grove Cemetery, Keyport, by Funeral Director Albert W Worden Jr. Besides his wife and Mrs Higginson, Mr Huyler leaves another daughter, Mrs Charles Emley of Philadelphia, with whom he made his home for eight years.
He was a retired harness manufacturer.

Mrs. Catherine Jane Huyler, 81, widow of Thomas Edward Huyler, died suddenly of a heart attack Thursday nite, April 2, 1935 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles A. Emley, of Philadelphia, with whom she had made her home the past fifteen years.
Mrs. Huyler was born near Keyport, April 5, 1854, and had lived in Monmouth County until she moved to Philadelphia. For many years she was a resident of Eatontown. Mrs. Huyler spent the past autumn and winter at Red Bank with her other daughter, Mrs. Asenath Higginson, of South Street, returning to Philadelphia three weeks prior to her death.
Besides those mentioned she is survived by a brother and two sisters, Bishop Carhart and Mrs. Alida Cook, of Keyport, and Mrs. Martha Conover, of Brooklyn. She also leaves four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A service was held Saturday evening at Philadelphia. Another service took place in Red Bank Sunday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Higginson, with the Rev. John A. Hayes, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, Red Bank, officiating. Burial was in Green Grove Cemetery, Keyport.
