Ralph enlisted in the US Army on 24 Dec 1942 and was a Private First class, 506th Parachute Infantry. He died on 17 Sep 1944 while serving with D Company, 101st Airborne Division in Eindhoven, Netherlands on 19 September 1944 during Operation Market Garden. He was buried in Riverview Cemetery, Circle, McCone, Montana, United States.
Lilian married second David "Bryce" Currah (7688) between Oct and Dec 1963 in Truro Registration District, Cornwall, England. Bryce was born 25 Dec 1908 in Saint Enoder, Cornwall, England.
