RED BANK -- Bayard Monroe Beebe, 89, of 163 Manor Drive, died Sunday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch.
Born in Long Branch, Mr. Beebe had lived in this area all his life.
He retired in 1958 after more than 40 years as a stockbroker with the firm of Auchincloss, Parker and Redpath of New York City.
Mr. Beebe was a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church, Long Branch. He was also the founder of the Hollywood Golf Club, the first golf course in Long Branch. In 1953, he invented the VV Golf Grip.
Mr. Beebe is survived by his wife, Ella Harding Beebe; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Douty of Fair Haven and Mrs. Jane Lechtrecker of Indianapolis, Ind.; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
The John E. Day Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Surviving are two daughters, Helen A Douty of Fair Haven and Jane Lechtrecker of Indianpolis, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Marion Nugent of White Plains, N.Y.; a brother, George Isaac Carhart of Asbury Park; eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
