Frost-Carhart Ceremony at Home of Bride
Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Henry Carhart Is Married
At a simple home ceremony with only the immediate families present, Mrs. Grace Grensted Carhart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Henry Carhart, became the bride of Louis Hogle Frost Thursday evening at the home of the bride's parents in the Collamer Road. The Rev. Baden P. Mudge of the Collamer M. E. Church officiated.
The service was read in the bay window of the large parlor of the Carhart homestead, which was banked with pussywillows and spring blossoms. The bay was illuminated from the niches, which held tall white tapers in Chinese candlesticks.
At 7:30 o'clock the bride entered with her father. She was preceded by her sister, Mary Louise Carhart, who was dressed in shell pink satin and who carried a basket of sweet peas.
The bride wore a gown of white satin. Her bouquet of white roses was made up with orange blossoms sent to the bride by relatives in Los Angeles.
Dinner was served in the large dining room, the bridal table being centered with a three-tier wedding cake and lighted by tall white tapers in crystal holders.
The bride changed her wedding gown later to an ensemble of navy blue with accessories to match, and a corsage bouquet of white roses and sweet peas. After April 15, the couple will be at home at 803 Lodi Street, Syracuse. The wedding was necessarily small owing to the long illness of the bride's mother, from which she is just recovering.
Miss Gladys D. Eldridge, 4700 James Street, entertained for the prospective bride at a miscellaneous shower Monday evening. Among the guests were: Mrs. LeRoy Wise of Ithaca, Mrs. A. Hubert Richard, Miss Florence Chandler, Miss Mary Louise Carver, Miss Sallie Salisbury, Mrs. William Eldridge and Mrs. Frank Eldridge. The hostess, Miss Eldridge, and several of the guests were schoolmates of Miss Carhart at Cazenovia Seminary.
Grace and Louis had the following child:
