Was also in the battles of South Mountain, Antietam, and Fredericksburgh, and was discharged, ill, at the latter place.

Letters Testamentary} The People of the State of New York.
To all whom these proceeds shall come or may concern send Greeting -- know ye that at the town of Chenango in the County of Broome on the 15th day of June 1847 before William Seymour first judge of Broome County Courts exofficial Surrogate in this matter the last will & Testament of Isaac A. Carhart late of said County deceased ( a copy whereof in here unto annexed) was proved and now approved & allowed by us and the said deceased having whilst living and at the time of his death goods chattels and credits within this States by means whereof the proving [xx], registering the said Will and granting administration of all and singular the said goods chattels & credits and also the auditing of allowing and finally discharging the account thereof doth belong to us.
The Administration of all & singular the goods Chattels & Credits of the said deceased and anyway concerning Isaac A Carharts Will is granted unto Susan B Carhart Executrix with said Will named & John Richards Executor also with said Will named each of them having first taken and subscribed an oath before the said Surogate faithfully & honestly to discharge the duties of such executrix & Executor hereby requiring you the said Susan B Carhart & the said John Richards & each of you to make or cause to be made a true & perfect inventory of all and singular the goods Chattels & Credits, of the said deceased which have or shall come to your hands or within of your possession or knowledge as also to mae or cause to be made duplicates of such inventory and copie? the same to be signed by the appraisers and the same to be made & signed that make return thereof to the Surrogate of the said County within three months from the date here of testimony whereof we have caused the seal of our office of our said Surogate to be here unto Affixed that of William Seymour first Judge of Broome County & exoffia Surogate in the matter at Chenango in said County the 16th day of June 1847.
