Nathaniel H Voris, 77 years old, died on Christmas morning at his home in Goldens Bridge, He had been ill only a short time. Mr Voris was an auctioneer for fifty years and was very well known in Northern Westchester and Putnam Counties. Only recently did his health fail and he have to give up this type of work. He also served as Postmaster at Goldens Bridge for fourteen years.
He was born in Scarsdale, New York on February 06 1862, the son of Harvey and Caroline Keeler Voris,
He is survived by two sons, Harvey N Voris of Purdys Station and Albert L Voris of Goldens Bridge, one daughter, Caroline L Voris of Purdys Station; five sisters, Mrs Frank Brown, Mrs Elmer Quick, and Miss Carrie Voris all of White Plains, Mrs Charles Quick of Newton Center, Mass, and Mrs Allen Reed of Lincolndale NY; and three grandchildren.
The funeral services were held this afternoon from his late residence. Interment was in Ivandell Cemetery, Somers.
