FORMER LOCAL MAN DIES IN MINNESOTA
Mrs. William Jacobs, 182 Rosalia Street, has been informed of the death on Sunday of her brother, Charles W. Carhart, at Duluth, Minn. Mr. Carhart was a former resident of Oshkosh, moving to Duluth about 40 years ago.
He was the treasurer and general manager of the Duluth Burial Case Company. Mr. Carhart had many friends in Oshkosh, having been a frequent visitor in this city. The last visit was in December to attend the funeral of his sister, Mrs. Nina Ternouth.
Mr. Carhart was born in 1869, the son of the Rev. and Mrs. John W. Carhart. He is survived by his wife, the former Maude McDonald of this city; one son, William Carhart of Minneapolis; one daughter, Mrs. Janet Erickson; two grandsons, of Duluth; a brother, E. E. Carhart, Panhandle, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Halle D. Cross, San Antonio, Tex.; and Mrs. William Jacobs, Oshkosh; and a niece, Mrs. Martin Metz, Oshkosh.
The funeral will be held at Duluth, Thursday.
