John D. B. Carhart, 58, self-employed salesman who came here in 1965 from Minneapolis, died of cancer Thursday in Village Green Nursing Home.
Mr Carhart, 13809 N. 31st Drive, was employed by North American Aviation Co. during World War II. He attended Shattuck Military School and was graduated from Wayne Teachers College at Wayne, Neb. Born in Mapleton, Iowa, he was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Grimshaw's Bethany Chapel, 710 W. Bethany Home. Burial will be in Deer Valley Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Marlys, and two daughters, Corilee and Lori Carhart, all of Phoenix.

Marlys Marie Carhart, age 79, passed away on November 6, 2003 in Glendale, Arizona. Marlys is survived by her two daughters, Corilee (Clayton Jr.) Parker and Lori (Ross E.) Anderson, six grandchildren; Jason, Dawn, Clayton III, Jacob, Meredith and John and one great-grandchild Aylana. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Carhart will be held on Monday, November 11, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Phoenix Memorial Park, 200 W. Beardsley Rd. A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM prior to the service. The family would appreciate donations to the Hospice of Arizona 2222 W.
