ALBANY Peter Edward Miecznikowski, age 82, entered into eternal life Friday, January 30, 2004. Born in Albany, he graduated from C.B.A. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a communicant of the Church of St. Pius X in Loudonville. He had been employed as a machinist for many years by G.E. in Schenectady. Son of the late Ferdinand and Maryanna Krajewska Miecznikowski. Beloved husband of the late Beverly Carhart Miecznikowski; loving father of Michael P. Mezz and his wife Karen, Peter E. Miecznikowski Jr., Linda A. Palmer and her husband James, and Lisa S. Mezz, all of Albany; brother of Ferdinand J. Miecznikowski of Torrington, Conn., Viola McKosky of Albany and the late Henry and Benedict Miecznikowski, Betty Dasis, Genevieve Krayzak and Alice Repko. Also survived by seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the Lasak & Gigliotti Funeral Home, 8 Dudley Heights, Albany (opposite the Philip Livingston School on Northern Blvd.) Monday morning at 9 o'clock and 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Pius X.
