Mrs. Eliza Carhart died at the home of her daughter near Hazlet last Tuesday, at the advanced age of 92 years. She was the widow of William Carhart, who lived about a mile east of Matawan, and was the mother of Mrs. T. E. Shepherd. She was ill but a few days, and died because of advanced age rather than positive disease.
