The funeral of Leroy Carhart, Sr. of 32 West Fifteenth Street, who died Saturday, was held Tuesday afternoon from the Patrick Funeral Home, 635 North Wood Avenue. The funeral was largely attended, including a number of city officials.
Rev. Thomas D. Walker, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiated at the funeral home and in RoseHill Cemetery.
Among the flowers were tributes from E.I. DuPont De Nemours, casting department foremen, lead burners and helpers, 25 - Years Club, Pharmacist laboratory, Grasselli Athletic Association, pals of building 66, boys of silicite department.
He is survived by his wife Cecilia Breidt Carhart, four sons, Norman J., Leroy, patrolman Albert and Harry, all of Linden; three daughters Mrs. Victor Dackermann Jr. and Mrs James Didyoung of Linden and Mrs Lawrence Mayer of Garwood; He was the son of the late George McClellen and Cynthia Carhart.

Mrs Cecilia Breidt Carhart, 68, of 32 Wl 15th St. died today in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Elizabeth, after a long illness. Mrs Carhart was the widow of LeRoy M. Carhart.
Mrs Carhart was born June 1888 and came to the United States 65 years ago. She lived in Linden 36 years. She was a cp,,imocat pf St. Michael's Church, Elizabeth.
Surving are four sons, Norman J., LeRoy, Patrolman Albert and Harry, all of Linden; three daughters, Mrs Victor Dackermann Jr., Mrs James Didiyoung of Linden and Mrs Lawrence Mayer of Garwood; a brother Joseph of Elizabeth, and 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The funeral will be from the Patrick Funeral Home, 365 N. Wood Ave.
