He Reached the Ripe Old Age of Ninety-Three.
George Carhart of Branch avenue died yesterday morning, aged 93 years. His death was due to gangrene of the foot. The disease first manifested itself three weeks ago, but no operation was performed because of the man's age.
Mr. Carhart was born in Middletown village. For some time he was engaged in the butcher business at Red Bank with Joseph Shephard. He lived with his son Isaac. He leaves eight other children - Mrs. Louisa Marshall of Cooperstown, N.Y.; Mrs. John Granger and Mrs. Charles Pettit of Brooklyn; Mrs. Charles Carhart of New Monmouth, Mrs. Alex. McPhee of Toronto, George and Edward Carhart of Brooklyn and John Carhart of Long Branch.
The funeral will be held to-morrow morning at eleven o'clock at the house. The body will be buried at Fair View cemetery.

George Carhart, of Branch avenue, died Tuesday morning of gangrene of the foot, aged 93 years. Mr. Carhart was born in Middletown and for many years was a butcher at Red Bank.
The deceased leaves nine children, Isaac, with whom he lived, Mrs. Louisa Marshall, of Copperstown, N. Y., Mrs. John Granger and Mrs. Charles Pettit, of Brooklyn, Mrs. Charles Carhart, on New Monmouth, Mrs. Alexander McPhee, of Toronto, George and Edward Carhart of Brooklyn and John Carhart of Long Branch. The funeral was held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the hosue and burial was made at Fair View.
