Ralph M. Carhart Weds Miss Fauneil B. Senter Here at Noon Wednesday.
Miss Fauneil B. Senter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. V. A. Senter of Wayne, and Mr. Ralph M. Carhart, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Carhart, were united in marriage Wednesday, June 15, at the home of the bride's parents in Wayne. About forty relatives and near friends were present for the ceremony which was performed at noon by Rev. Lewis F. Townsend of the Methodist church.
Pink and blue the bride's chosen colors, were carried out in the wedding. Bouquets of flowers were about the home. The young couple stood before two large baskets of flowers, tied with tulle, for the ceremony. Miss Senter wore a shell peach georgette ensemble and carried a bride's bouquet of roses. Miss Katherine Strickland attended Miss Senter. She wore a dress of rose georgette and carried flowers. Mrs. Senter and Mrs. Carhart each wore a corsage. John C. Carhart acted as best man.
A two-course breakfast was served after the ceremony. Tables were attractive in the pink and blue, bouquets of flowers, candles, nut cups and placecards carrying out the color scheme. Miss Louise Wendt, Miss Fannie Britell and Miss Mabel Britell served.
Mr. and Mrs. Carhart left after the wedding for Omaha by car. They plan to go to Denver, Colo., and will be at home in Randolph after the first of July.
Mrs. Carhart is a graduate of the Wayne high school, the Wayne State Teachers college and the University of Nebraska. She received a B. S. degree at Lincoln two years ago and were also given a scholarship to the Merrill Palmer school in Detroit. She is a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She taught home economics in West Point and Plainview since her graduation.
Mr. Carhart is a graduate of the Wayne high school and of the University of Illinois. He is affiliated with Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Since completion of his university course he has been with the Carhart Lumber company in Wayne. He went to Randolph this spring to manage a new yard which the company purchased.

Miss Fauneil Senter, whose marriage to Ralph Carhart took place yesterday, was complimented last Thursday at a 1 o'clock bridge luncheon given by Mrs. A. B. Carhart. Sixteen were present. Guests found their places at tables most attractive in yellow and white. Bouquets of flowers and yellow candles in yellow holders were centerpieces. Nut cups were of yellow, each decorated with yellow and white flowers. Placecards bore pictures of brides and bridegrooms. Mrs. Carhart, assisted by Miss Elsie Mae Carhart, served a sumptuous three-course lumcheon carrying out the color scheme. Ice cream was in the shape of gold engagement rings with white setting. Bridge was enjoyed as pastime after the luncheon. Mrs. J. T. Bressler, jr., received the high score prize and this and the guest prize were given to Miss Senter.

Wayne's business district lost another prominent member Wednesday when lumberman Ralph Carhart, 65, died at his home. Dr. Robert Casper and Paul Harrington had died within the same week.
A directory of Carhart Lumber Co., headquartered in Wayne, he was prominent in many fields on a state level. His wife, one son, one daughter, one sister and one brother survive.
Carhart was grand master of the Nebraska Masonic lodge last year. He had served in previous years as president of the State Normal board, was once president of the Nebraska Lumber Merchants' association and served 17 years on the board of the Nebraska Masonic home.
Active right up until the time of his death, he had been helping with plans for the new Masonic temple to be built here. The week of his death he helped present the plans to members.

Funeral services for Ralph M. Carhart, 65, were held Saturday afternoon at First Methodist church, Wayne. Mr. Carhart died Nov. 10 at his home in Wayne.
Rev. Cecil Bliss officiated at the rites. Music was furnished by Paulette Merchant at the organ. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. W. A. Brandenburg, Paul Mines, Carl Lueders, K. N. Parke, Hobart Aukert, L. W. McNatt, Dave Theophilus, A. L. Swan, Carl Wright and J. Knox Jones. Pallbearers were Robert Merchant, Jim Hein, O. K. Brandstetter, Roy Christensen, Howard Witt, and W. C. Swanson. Burial was at Greenwood cemetery with funeral oration by Most Worshipful Herbert A. Ronin, Past Grand Master.
Ralph Miller Carhart, son of Charles and Ethel Carhart, was born May 14, 1900 at Des Moines, Ia. He came to Wayne with his parents in 1914. He was married to Fauneil Senter, June 15, 1927 at Wayne.
The couple lived at Randolph until 1939 when they returned to Wayne. Mr. Carhart was past Grand Master of Nebraska Masonic Loge, past president of the State Normal Board and past president of the Nebraska Lumber Merchants' Association. He has been a member of the board of Nebraska Masonic Home the past 17 years.
His parents and a brother, Charles, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles, Neligh; a daughter, Mrs. Brad (Mary) Warnemunde, Omaha; a brother, John Carhart, Wayne; a sister, Mrs. E. C. Edmonds, Cincinnati, Ohio, and several grandchildren.
Fauneil died at the age of 82 on 21 Jul 1985 in Wayne, Wayne, Nebraska, United States. She was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Wayne, Wayne, Nebraska, United States. Her obituary was published 23 Jul 1985 in the Sioux City Journal (page 16), Sioux City, Woodbury, Iowa, United States:
WAYNE, Neb. -- Fauneil Carhart, 82, of Wayne, died Sunday in a care center in Wayne.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the First United Methodist Church in Wayne. The Rev. Keith Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, under the direction of the Wiltse Funeral Home of Wayne.
Mrs. Carhart, the former Fauneil Senter, was born July 26, 1902, in Bancroft and moved with her family to Wayne in 1905. She graduated from Wayne High School and Wayne State College. She attended the University of Nebraska and Merrill Palmer School in Detroit, Mich.
On June 15, 1927, she married Ralph Carhart in Wayne. He died in 1965.
Mrs. Carhart was a member of the First United Methodist Church and UMW. She was a past president of PEO and a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Wayne and the Fortnightly Club.
Survivors include a son, Charles of Wayne; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Warnemunde of Cincinnati, Ohio; seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
