Taylor Hoff Carhart, 74, died of heart disease Tuesday at his home on the Holmdel Turnpike. He had been in failing health several years. He was janitor at Hillcrest School, Holmdel Township, since its erection, and a member of Calvary M. E. Church, Keyport. Besides his wife, Mrs. Lillian Carhart, he leaves three children. They are Mrs. Lillian Beers, Mrs. Elethea Johnson, and Edmund Carhart, all of Hazlet; also four grandchildren, Donald Beers, Raymond Johnson, Carol June and Ann Carhart. Funeral services will be held this afternoon in charge of Funeral Director Harvey S. Bedle, Keyport.

Taylor Hoff Carhart, age 74 years, died on Tuesday morning from heart disease, after a few days sickness at his home on the Holmdel turnpike. He had been in failing health for several years.
He held the position as janitor at Hillcrest school in Holmdel township since it was erected.
He was a member of Calvary M. E. Church, Keyport.
Besides his wife, Lillian, he leaves three children, Mrs. Lillian Beers, Mrs. Elthea Johnson and Edmund Carhart, all of Hazlet; four grandchildren, Carol June and Ann Carhart, Raymond Johnson, Donald Beers.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of Funeral Director Harvey S. Bedle, of Keyport. Interment will be in Holmdel cemetery.

Born in Port Jefferson, L.I., Mrs. Carhart was the widow of Taylor H. Carhart.
Surviving are a son, Edmund A. Carhart, Hazlet; two daughters, Mrs. Charles L. Johnson, Hazlet; and Mrs. Lillian Beers, Toms River; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
