Henry A. Carhart of Matawan left a house and lot at that place to his daughter, Rebecca Hager, in a will he executed two years ago last November. This bequest is made wit the condition that Mrs. Hager pay #360 each to the other children, Sadie Reid, William H. Carhart, Lettie Cooper and Mary Black. Mrs. Carhart left $100 to his wife, Martha Carhart, and the will stated she was not left more because she had already been given a house and lot at Keyport. Mr. Carhart directed that a mortgage he held on a farm owned by his daughter, Lettie Cooper, and her husband, be not sold or foreclosed until five years after his death. The residue of the estate is bequeathed to the five children and they are directed to give proper care to their mother during the rest of her life. Mary Black and Judson Reid were appointed executors of the will.
Martha died at the age of 73 on 26 Mar 1926 in Matawan, Monmouth, New Jersey, United States.
