- Seth Carhartt (7847) - born 1764 in Carlisle, Cumberland, Pennsylvania, United States. He died at the age of 42 in 1806 in Muskingum County, Ohio, United States.
- Rebecca Carhartt (7889) - born about 1765.

The Last Will and Testament {
of William Carhart deceased {
In the name of God Amen. I William Carhart of the borough of Carlisle in the County of Cumberland and State of Pennsylvania being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be God for the Same do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in the manner and form following (that is to say) First I give and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Rosannah all my funeral estate after my funeral charges are deducted out of the same. I do also give and bequeath unto my Son Seth Carhart my plantation in Shearmans Valey in Stye (?) Township Cumberland County adjoining lands of Widow Smiley, John Smily, Elaiah Reese and Crafts land being the same tract of land I purchased from Henry Heally to him the said Seth Carhart to him his heirs and assigns forever. I also give and bequeath unto my said son Seth Carhart one lot of ground in the borough of Carlisle bounded on the east by Archibald Kennedy on the north by a twenty feet alley and on the west by a lot belonging to a certain Leamey to him he heirs and assigns forever. I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Rebecca Otenberger wife of Peter Otenberger the sum of five shillings. I also give unto my son Seth all my outstanding debts he paying any just debts that is against my estates and lastly I do hereby appoint my said son Seth Carhart, Sole executor of this my Last Will & Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and Seal the thirty first day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and eighty six. Signed, Sealed, Published and declared by the above named Wm Carhart to be his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witness in the presence of the testator.

Be it remembered that on the tenth day of April in the Year of our Lord, one thousand Seven Hundred and eighty-six. The Last Will and Testament of William Carhart deceased was legally proved (of which the foregoing record is a true copy) and Letters Testamentary issued in common form to Seth Carhart Executor therein named on the said tenth day of April 1786. Inventory and account to be exhibited into the Registers office in the time appointed by law.
