The Constellation Trails are a series of trails - you can make your hike as long or as short as you wish. To get to the trails, take Highway 89 North to the Phippen Museum parking lot. The trail starts through the tunnel under the highway.
I took the circle trail counter-clockwise. Starts with the Phippen Recon Trail, to the North 40 Trail to the Lost Wall Trail, the Rock Wall Trail, Ranch Road Shortcut and then finish on the Phippen Recon Trail again. Elevation gain is minimal - only 200 feet but the view you get from the highest part of the trail are pretty good. The trail is well marked with maps that show "YOU ARE HERE".

The trails take you mostly through scrub brush and boulders but it is a very pretty hike. There are the familiar white dots to follow when the trail takes off over boulders.
Here are some of the great views...
The circle trail is just over 2 miles long and will take about an hour to complete. As usual, I took a wrong turn and added a half mile to my hike so my total shows 2.7 miles.
There is little shade on the trail, so make sure you take a hat and lots of water. If you are looking for a quiet hike, this isn't it as you can always here the traffic noise from Highway 89 and from planes taking off and landing at the airport.
I give this hike 4 boots!
