Died.
Mrs. Adeline Carhart, wife of James Carhart, died at her home four miles northeast of Mapleton, August 27, aged 55 years.
She was married to James Carhart in 1865. Seven daughters were born to them, six of whom are living and were present at the funeral services. Mrs. Carhart was a member of the M. P. Church here for almost twelve years and was a faithful Christian and remained steadfast to the end. She had been a sufferer for several years with heart trouble which finally caused her death. She was patient through all her sickness. A good wife and mother, she will be greatly missed at the home and in the community in which she had lived so long. But for her to died was gain. The family have our sympathy in their grief. May their hope and trust be in Christ.
The funeral services were held at the M. P. church Aug. 28, and were largely attended. The remains were interred in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
